The land of the unknown?

A month ago, I ventured into the unknown land of China, Hainan Island. It's been ages since we've had a family holiday. It felt like Chinese new year visiting relatives houses and all. Its funny how my dad is from China and non of his kids can speak Chinese. Imagine the horror when i tried communicating with them. I should really start learning! Anyways, here are some pictures of the kampung.

The trip was an eye opener. It was fun because i had my siblings with me. They are my survival kit. And here is a statement saying that chicken rice in Malaysia is so much better. I ate chicken almost everyday there that i refused to eat chicken and in general Chinese food for at least a week. Thank god for the variety of food in our country! Oh and another survival thing i found there:

MC'D's peach pie is awesome!

The funny menu

I'm not used to the culture there. Maybe i went to the wrong part of China so i won't make any quick judgements here. I'll only say what i observe. To end this off I'll share this picture as old as time:

yes. this is a toilet. and it still exist
